Max Müller to take over the position as Head of Public Affairs Germany and EU at Bayer

Leverkusen, February 14, 2020 – Max Müller (44), currently Member of the Executive Board and Chief Strategy Officer at DocMorris N.V., will take over the position as Head of Public Affairs Germany and EU at Bayer effective May 1, 2020. He will report to the Senior Vice President for Public Affairs & Sustainability, Matthias Berninger, and will be based in Berlin. Over the past 20 years, Müller has gained extensive leadership experience in senior positions in corporate communications, government affairs and as managing director in the healthcare sector.

Stephan Schraff (50), who currently heads the Berlin Office for Public Affairs, will take over the position of Head of Public Affairs & Sustainability in Brussels, based in Belgium. He will report to Müller. Volker Koch-Achelpöhler (56), who currently heads the EU Office for Public Affairs in Brussels, will take over the function of Public Affairs & Sustainability Crop Science for the EMEA region from April 1, 2020 and will be based in Brussels.
